Turns Out That Life Is Like Underwear: Change Is Good

Yeah… I guess I’ve been wearing dirty underwear for quite a long time! (You can only turn them inside out and backwards so many times I guess before they have to be washed! lol). At least it was MY secret at the time… streaks and all…

Ugh… but I got run over by a car unexpectedly with those dirty underwear still on! How embarassing!!! They ALL saw them too! Enggghhhhh… how will I ever get a date with anyone after that! I’ll be forever known as “that girl” who doesn’t change her underwear. lol

So here’s my equation for change I’m offering to other BPDs for consideration so that they don’t get caught with unidentifiable stains on their undies like myself!!! 😉

You need a trained mental health professional who has successful experience working with Borderline people, you need their help to teach you to teach yourself. Learn the information. Learn the skills. Study.

Practice, practice, practice, practice.

Observe, observe more, observe your observations.

Reframe, reframe, reframe.

Fake it till you make it.

Fake it till you make it.

Fake it till you make it.

Wash, rinse, repeat! [you’re gonna have to scrub hard to get some of those stains out… remember that taco and beans night last month?… enough said!]

Success – it’s a new behavior! You finally believe it – I mean for REAL! Jeez… You might have had to scrub those undies so hard that the they’re kinda see-through… they’re really sexy now!
